Uasin Gishu’s Woman who worked for a British liner returns, build her mother a beautiful house

Nancy Jelimo traveled to the UK to follow a Master’s degree in education with only one thing – the hope of success and changing her family’s life in a better way.

From a low -life family, Jelimo’s educational journey has celebrated patience, consistency, dedication, and hard work.

He shone in primary education at Kapsumbeiyet Primary School, where his best results laid the foundation for his academic journey.

Who funded Nancy Jelimo’s education?

Despite doing well, Nancy faced financial challenges that threatened to back her.

However, her community came together to make a contribution that enabled her to join Kerotet’s High School.

He completed secondary education with the help of Bursari and the small contribution of his parents.

He later joined the University of Kabianga, where he studied for a degree in education, specializing in mathematics and chemistry.

After graduation, he worked as a PTA teacher at St. Joseph Kibagenge, receiving a salary of Ksh 10,000 a month.

Although the salary was not enough to meet the needs of the family, especially her daughter’s fees, Nancy continued to hope.

How was this Uasin Gishu woman to get to England?

In the pursuit of a better life, Nancy had the opportunity to study for a Bachelor’s degree in the UK, but again faced financial challenges.

The beloved mother sold a small piece of farm they inherited from her grandfather to help finance her travels and studies abroad.

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Jelimo explained that Britain’s life was not easy, but the goal of achieving his dreams and pleased his mother gave him the strength to move forward.

“Life in the UK was not easy at all. I had to do a variety”He said.

Despite these challenges, he succeeded in graduating and now has the ability to care for his daughter and family respectfully.

“But thank God I have succeeded. I have graduated, and my daughter is in good school. Now I can serve her with respect,” he added.

Nancy said she hopes to use her skills and experience to bring about change in the education sector at home and encourage other discouraged girls to follow their dreams.
