In a national speech delivered on behalf of the ACK Bishops’ Council, Ole Sapit condemned the increase in violence, destruction and political negligence in the country.
Sapit called for a rapid national investigation and effective measures against law enforcement in the country, and called on the government to prosecute those responsible for looting, robbery and arbitrary killings.
The archbishop gave a bad image of the nation on a dangerous path, describing Kenya as “slowly entering chaos, robbery and chaos”.
He warned that if immediate action was not taken, the country could plunge into more chaos.
The priests expressed their sadness for losing lives and livelihoods, praying and condolences to the families of the victims, casualties and those who were left permanently disabled.
They called on the government to be responsible and to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation into all acts of abuse, carried out by citizens or government officials.
The church also demanded compensation to the families who lost their business and their businesses were looted or destroyed.
“We want the government to protect the lives of people and property and conduct a thorough and fair investigation and to prosecute all those who are guilty of additional killings and looting. The priests said.
Alas Sapit kept strong words especially for groups of guards organized by criminal police officers accused of using excessive force.
“We condemn the emergence of hooligans, and organize groups of guards witnessed in recent protests,” It read the information in part.
The statement has come following a deadly protest that shook various parts of the country and resulted in the deaths of many people, property being destroyed and business closed.
Did the ACK church oppose Ruto’s order to shoot to kill?
The bishops opposed what they called the “shooting” policy, saying the orders went against legal and moral principles.
Instead, they appealed to the arrest legally, appropriate procedures, and charges to those arrested for stealing or destroying property.
The ACK also faced political remarks that stimulate divisions, calling on the government to give the National Commission on Equality and Confederation (NCIC) to control inflammation and ethnic hate speech.
They called on the ruling coalition and opposition to abandon ethnic discrimination and “political robbery” to favor national unity.

In notorious change, the bishops encouraged the moratorium on political councils, saying they are now doing more harm than good.
Leaders and influencers on social networks were also given notice of controlling their language and refraining from public incitement.
“Public councils do by politicians are causing more harm than good and we strongly urge such councils for any political division to end immediately. All leaders and social networks should look at the language they use especially in the public field,” The church said.
While acknowledging that the right to march is protected under the constitution, the bishops demanded that the organizers end the protest, citing the form of evil violence.
Why woe sapit rebuked Kenyans
Elsewhere, Ole Sapit condemned the act of celebrating deaths, even by unpopular politicians or celebrities.
He referred to the behavior as very stressful and human beings, emphasizing that death should not be a cause for relaxation.
Sapit acknowledged that the public confusion of officials could explain the emotional effect, but he emphasized that it did not give a reason to celebrate the loss of life.
