On Saturday, June 14, news spread that talented soccer players, Victor Wanyama and McDonald Mariga, had lost their mother.
What was the cause of their mother’s death?
Mildred Animals died of sudden illness.
During the funeral service, her husband bitterly narrated the events that led to her death.
He revealed that it all started with a fire injury in the leg, which was forced to be hospitalized.
The elder said he visited him once in the hospital, not knowing that that would be the last time he had seen him alive.
He later received a phone call from his daughter informing her that Mildred had died.
How did the animals remember her mother?
Animals gave special respect to her mother, recounting childhood memory from her first football journey.
He said that when he was in Belgium at the football camp and felt desperate for lack of family, he phoned home ready to stop.
But her mother encouraged her to stay and endure.
The former star of Tottenham Hotspur said that although their mother is no longer there, she still feels her presence around them.

TUKO.co.ke spoke to psychologist Aggie Wambui, who explained that happy times during mourning is not a strange thing.

TUKO.co.ke also reported that the animal lover, Serah Teshnashe explained bitterly that Mildred died the same day that their baby was celebrating her birthday.
