Political activist and civic educator Morara Kebaso, who is the founder of the Inclusive National Justice, Economic & Civic Transformation (INJECT) party, has announced a comeback just weeks after claiming that he had officially quit politics.
Taking to his official X account on the night of Saturday, July 5, 2025, Morara stated that he had decided to stay on and fight for the better of his country.
According to him, Kenya as it is now is not the kind of country he wants his children to grow up in.
Morara says he is not ready to move elsewhere because he likes the food, the weather, the trees, and the people in Kenya, noting that fighting for the country is a duty he cannot avoid.
“I have decided that this is not the kind of country I want my children to grow up in. And I am not ready to move elsewhere because I like the food, the weather, the trees, and the people. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, fighting for it is not a choice I should make; IT IS A DUTY I CANNOT AVOID,” Morara stated.

Morara’s exit from politics
About two weeks ago, Morara announced his exit from active politics, despite his ambitious plan of running for presidency in 2027.
In a detailed statement posted on social media on Monday, June 23, 2025, he declared that he had finally escaped the pressures of political life and is now ready to live freely without fear of judgment.
He expressed relief at being able to focus on his personal life, business, and travels without the constant scrutiny that comes with public office.
“Guys, I finally escaped politics. I can now live my life. I can do my biz, make my mulla, travel the world, see my friends, visit a bar, and not worry about pictures. I’m free. Nobody can judge me if I dance the wrong way or smile the wrong way. I don’t need security. I can drive myself and race like hell. I don’t have to show up for TV interviews and get misquoted,” Morara said.
