Fever bay – The burning of the Mazwago police station in Kasipul Kabondo parliament stole popularity when returning to the late Albert Ojwang’s home.

The center was Ojwang’s first station after being arrested on June 7 before its transfer to Nairobi.
According to Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma, the burning of the center was carried out by hooligans from outside Homa Bay County.
The vibrant MP claimed that Homa Bay’s youth were too lazy to participate in such an act.
He said they were firefighters from Nairobi.
“The robbers who have consumed the Mazwago police station were transported from Nairobi. Kaluma said.
Police at the center are said to have escaped after seeing the numbers moving forward to the area.
The young men, carrying Ojwang’s coffin up, were sitting in the booth and some of the buildings burning.
Some officers would re -emerge to save the little wealth they could from the fire.
All the while, Ojwang’s nearest family were locked in a car carrying a corpse while watching the ongoing violence.
Hundreds of young people later left for Ojwang’s home.
The efforts of his late father, Meshack Opiyo, prevented them from attacking the center were in vain.
Ojwang will be buried on Friday, July 4.
How Ojwang faced his death
The death of the 31 -year -old under police protection joined a list of high -level violence against civilians and government security officials.
He was killed in a police station shortly after being arrested on June 7.
Ojwang was taken from his parents at the Lida Center and five officials of the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI).

The officers were dealing with complaints filed by Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat, who was accused of allegedly criticizing Ojwang via social networks.
After his arrest, the officer placed Ojwang at the Mawego police station, and drove to Nairobi.
He was later detained at a police station in Nairobi, and detained in cells alone, where he was beaten to death.
Who killed Albert Ojwang?
Six people are facing murder charges after Ojwang’s murder in the hands of police.
Samson Taalam, the restricted commander of the Nairobi Police Station, is among the suspects.
Others are police officers James Mukhwana and Peter Kimani, citizen John Ginge Gitau, Gin Amitou Abwao, and Brian Mwaniki Njue.
In his report to the Independent Police Management Authority (IPOA), Mukhwana claimed that Ojwang’s killing was approved by Dig Lagat, through Taalam.
As a cell protector that day, Mukhwana said that Taalam passed orders to demand Ojwang be punished for allegedly publishing a scam content about DIG.
When he arrived at the Police Station, Ojwang was reported to be placed in a special cell and deliberately gave four other prisoners assigned to attack him.
