Street interviewer and YouTuber Presenter Kai has unveiled a heartfelt single in tribute to his wife, Diana Yegon, just two days after responding to widespread criticism from netizens who accused him of excessively posting about her.
In a teaser shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, July 3, 2025, Kai offered fans a preview of the song, revealing that it is titled ‘Mwenzako na Enjoy Nikiwa Nawe’, a sweet lyrical nod to the joy and fulfilment he experiences now that he shares life with his wife.
The lyrics, particularly the chorus, revolve around their young and blossoming marriage, with Kai pouring out his emotions and reflecting on how marrying Diana was once a dream he held dearly, a dream he now lives each day with gratitude.
He expresses that, having taken his vows with Diana, he no longer desires anything or anyone else, as she completes him fully.
In a duet-style composition, Diana also features in the chorus, echoing her happiness at being married to Kai and confessing the deep joy she feels every time she looks at him.
“Umekuwa ndoto yangu kwamba nikuoe. Ninashukuru mimi niko na wewe. Kama kiapo nishakula nawe, ni nini nataka mie? Nawe mwenzako na enjoy nikiwa nawe, Furaha yangu nikikutazama, bebi, I feel okay. Furaha yangu nikikutazama, bebie, I feel alright,” the lyrics say.
Loosely translated to:
“You were my dream, that I may marry you, and I am thankful that I am with you. As I have already taken the vow with you, what else would I want? I enjoy life when I am with you, my partner. My happiness is when I see you, baby; I feel okay. My happiness is when I look at you, baby, I feel alright.”
The accompanying music video complements the romantic message, capturing the couple dancing intimately while facing each other against the backdrop of a serene seaside location, where calm turquoise waters gently kiss the shoreline behind them.
Both are dressed in bright yellow attire — Diana donning a flowing beach dress and Kai in a neat yellow polo shirt — radiating sunshine and synchrony, both in fashion and in love.
Responding to backlash
The song’s release follows hot on the heels of Kai’s public response to trolls who had for weeks targeted him over his frequent mentions and posts about Diana, often referring to her as “my wife” even in unrelated posts where she was not pictured.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, June 29, Presenter Kai acknowledged that he had seen the flurry of negative remarks that had been hurled at him online and firmly stated that he would continue posting his wife, Diana Yegon, regardless of the backlash.
He even laced his response with humour, recalling a moment at a supermarket where, instead of being called by his name, someone shouted “my wife” from behind — a cheeky reference to how he frequently captions his posts.
“I walked into the supermarket, and from behind, I heard someone shout ‘my wife’ — surely, do not be like that. I know you are all waiting for me to post so you can flood the comments with ‘my wife’. I see all of you,” Kai wrote.
All the online trolling had stemmed from fans questioning whether he had anything else to focus on in life, considering it had been several months since he married Diana Yegon, yet his posts still revolved around her with almost obsessive consistency.
