Savara praises Chappelle
The meeting came just months after Savara spoke about how he had grown up eagerly anticipating the opportunity to watch American stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle perform in Kenya.
Marking his first appearance in the country, Savara joined hundreds of Kenyans who attended Chappelle’s show at the Louis Leakey Auditorium on May 29, 2024.
As seen on his X account, formerly known as Twitter, Savara said that watching Chappelle perform live had been deeply inspiring.
He expressed admiration for the comedian, suggesting that Chappelle behaved just like ordinary people.
Savara filled his post with praises, hinting at the comedian’s admirable personality.
He wrote, “Watching @DaveChappelle live last night was so inspiring. Nikamgotea. Manze ako tu kama sisi. He also has a very good personality. Blessed.”
Dave Chappelle’s visit to Kenya was a unique event and remained largely under wraps. Access to the comedian was restricted to the concertgoers, and he did not mention the show on any of his social media platforms despite the announcement that he was already in Kenya.
