When did APS Bomet FC be promoted?

APS Bomet FC was promoted for the first time earlier this month after finishing in second place in the National Premier League (NSL) behind Nairobi United.

They will play great football for the first time in the 2025/26 season after suffering two seasons ago.

Bomet had been promoted in 2022 when the guardian committee was running football. When FKF was restored, they were returned to the second grade along with Fortune Sacco.

Bomet refused to play NSL and were brought down the third grade for the result, but now they have been promoted in succession.

What did Kipchumba Murkomen do?

Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen announced that he had been appointed the new APS Bomet guard as they prepare for their first FKF Premier League season.

Former Elgeyo Marakwet Senator said Dig-Aps Gilbert Masengeli asked him to take on the role.

“We will support the team to announce its presence in the Kenyan Premier League by improving their training equipment, equipment and mobility, and meeting other requirements,” Murkomen wrote on X.

“The team promised to win the league in 4 years, and following the victory of Kenya Police FC and Kenya Police Bullets FC this season, it’s possible. “

What did APS Bomet fans say about Murkomen?

Bomet fans were not pleased with Murkomen as the club’s caretaker. Their fans have been reported to make a statement expressing their sadness.

“We, the sincere supporters of APS Bomet FC, want to express our absolute denial and condemn the club’s decision to appoint Minister Kipchumba Murkomen as the club’s caretaker,” The information distributed on X said.

The fans added that they could not allow the Minister to be associated with their club after his controversial statements, in which he seemed to require the police to use force to kill.

They also accused him of allegedly being involved in corruption and insisted that the club was a public property.

Kenya Police FC carry the FKF Premier League title

Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that Kenya Police FC won the FKF Premier League title in front of Gor Mahia.

In 34 games, they have won 18 and lost five. The defeat by Kakamega Homeboyz earlier last month threatened their hopes of the championship for a while, but they returned and made history.

They were promoted to the Premier League in the 2020/21 campaign and finished 10th in their first season. They followed it and finished two-five best.
