The Kenya Communications Authority (CA) said the main information issued to the protest was illegal.
It authorized all stores to focus, failing where the “control action” would follow.
“The direct announcement of the June 25, 2025 protests is contrary to Article 33 (2) and 34 (1) of the Kenyan Constitution and section 461 of the Kenya Information and Communication Act, 1998. So this is to direct all television and radio stations to suspend any direct broadcast of the protests immediately. You read a message from the Kenya Communications Authority (CA).
