Rigathi Gachagua apologizes to Meru residents for introducing them to William Ruto: “He deceived me”

Speaking at Irirua Business Center on Sunday, June 22, during his last visit to the county, Gachagua claimed to be President William Ruto He deceived her until he believed him.

He said that believing Ruto, who served him as his deputy for more than two years, was a mistake he regretted to this day.

“I apologize for bringing them ‘Kasongo’. He deceived me by using the Bible. Said the former Deputy President.

Since being ousted from office, Gachagua has been a fierce critic of the administration of Kenya firstwho helped to bring it to power.

He has announced that he will make sure President Ruto is no longer elected in 2027.

The DCP leader also called on Meru voters to make a wise decision in the next general election.

“Should we take him home or not?” Gachagua asked, and the crowd firmly responded that they wanted Ruto to leave.

In addition, he accused the President and his allies of favoring their indigenous areas in youth employment in the National Police Force, the Kenya Defense Force (KDF), the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), and the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), among other government agencies.

He claimed that in other places like Meru, young people are given only less money to disrupt political meetings.

“Your MP is told he does not need to send his young men to the army. Instead, he is given money to distribute the youth, to stoned others, and then they remain drinking,” Gachagua claimed.

Were young people paid to disrupt Gachaka Meru’s visit?

Former Deputy President previously claimed that President Ruto paid the youth to disrupt his meetings in Meru. Gachagua claimed that the plan was implemented by Deputy President Kithure Kindikiwho inspired young people.

In those three days when the DCP leader was in Meru, there was no violence in his meetings, except an attempt by the youth group to prevent his entry into the city of Meru.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that former Nyeri Urban MP, Ngunjiri Wambugu, claimed that Gachagua had no intention of removing President Ruto from office in 2027.

Wambugu, who served as a close ally of Gachagua, explained that his plan was to build a strong political party, similar to that of the former Prime Minister Raila OdingaODM.

The former MP claimed that when Gachagua found a strong party, he might use the opportunity to negotiate with Ruto politically.
