Albert’s death in police custody sparked anger across the country, with many Kenyans seeking answers about the circumstances of his controversial death.

Did Boniface Kariuki’s family lose money?

His father Kariuki initially claimed that the fraudsters had cheated him and defrauded him over 200,000 KSh, claiming that they were helping him register with a new Social Health Authority program.

TUKO.co.ke tried to contact Eric Omondi for clarification about the situation, but by the time of publishing the information, he had not given a response.

How much money President William Ruto gave to Albert’s family?

In another news, Albert’s father revealed that President William Ruto phoned him personally to give his condolences following the tragic death of the blogger.

It is said that the president made a contribution of KSh 2 million to help the family of the deceased.

In addition, ODM leader Raila Odinga also reportedly donated KSh 1 million.

However, these high -profile contributions created a hybrid sensation online.

Some Kenyans questioned the need to continue raising money after the leaders made a significant contribution, and even wanted the family to return the previously donated money.

Some defended Albert’s father, saying it would not be wise to reject such great help in times of sadness and tragedy.
