Kenya Power has announced a temporary blackout scheduled to affect a section of Nairobi, Kiambu and Kisii counties on Monday, June 23, 2025.
The utility company attributed this interruption to routine network maintenance.
“Good evening, Please be advised that the following areas will undergo a scheduled power outage on Monday, June 23, 2025, to facilitate essential network maintenance,” Kenya Power announced.
Specific areas
In Nairobi County, the 9:00 am to 5:00 pm planned blackout is set to affect customers at Legal Plaza, part of Limuru Road, 6th Parklands, Ita Road and adjacent customers.
While in Kisii County, residents in Nyamache, Kiamokama, Ibacho, Gesusu, Nyacheki, Nyacheki, Geteri, Entakana, Masimba, Borangi, Kiomiti, Maji Mazuri, Kiobegi, Gionseri, Kionduso, Tukiamwana, Igare, Emenwa, Boitangare, Ibacho, Kibichanwa, Moremani, Mobamba, Mochengo, Mokoroiginywa, Mogweko, Baringo, Naikuru, Isena and adjacent customers will experience the outage from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
According to the utility company, the scheduled power interruption in Kiambu County will affect customers in Kiriko Mission, Matara Tea Factory, Gachege Tea Factory, Ndarugu Tea Factory, Matara Dispensary, Kanyoni Market, Gicheha Market, Thuraku Village, Karatu Market, Karinga Girls, Gitwe Market, Gikure Market, Ituramiru Market, Gakunyi, Gituamba Market and adjacent customers.
The outage in Kiambu County will start from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
