Tanzanian Bongo Flava artiste Rajab Abdul alias Harmonize has declared that he is ready to run for the Tandahimba parliamentary seat, promising to honour the vision of the late President John Pombe Magufuli and support the ongoing efforts of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, June 22, 2025, Harmonize stated that he is fully prepared to represent Tandahimba as its Member of Parliament if given the nod by the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), in the upcoming October elections.

“Now I am ready for Tandahimba MP, for the good of the people. Rest in peace Dr John Pombe Magufuli, the fifth President. Surely your heart will be filled with joy,” he said, addressing the late Head of State.

“President Samia Suluhu Hassan has delivered all your plans and projects, and many more, within a short time,” he added, expressing his admiration for the current administration.

Harmonize further noted that if the ruling party endorses his candidacy, he is ready to carry the torch and fulfil what he described as Magufuli’s dream for his hometown constituency.

In a separate Instagram story, the Konde Gang founder hinted at a deeper political ambition, stating that he looks forward to a chance to sit with President Samia and discuss Tandahimba’s future in detail.

He also rallied support for the nation’s general elections scheduled for October, asserting his firm belief that the country is now poised to march to the polls and elect a new generation of leaders.

“I am eagerly awaiting the day you will give me the opportunity to sit down and discuss Tandahimba properly, Madam President. Inshallah, in October we are ready,” he wrote, directly tagging President Samia’s Instagram account.

“Shortly after you take the oath, we move,” the ‘Ayiola’ crooner added.

Suluhu supporter

The political declaration by Harmonize has come just days after he revealed that he is praying to God to guide the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party leader, President Samia Suluhu, towards victory in the October 2025 elections.

Speaking shortly after a rally where the party unveiled its manifesto on Saturday, June 7, 2025, the ‘Sensema’ crooner expressed that he was seeking divine intervention for President Suluhu because he desired her to be the leader who steers Tanzania from 2025 into the dawn of a new decade beginning in 2030.

“I have deep faith, alongside many other Tanzanians, that we shall win the election resoundingly; we expect her to lead from this year, two thousand and twenty-five, all the way to the year two thousand and thirty,” Harmonize said.

In addition to that, Harmonize shared that he was praying earnestly for God to instill in President Suluhu the leadership attributes she may require during the crucial term ahead so that she may continue guiding Tanzania with steadfastness and vision.

“I am also praying for Mama, asking God to keep granting her more insight and to continue blessing her with the vision to lead us forward,” he added with heartfelt emotion.
