How did Eric’s father Albert receive Ruto’s contribution?
Speaking to reporters on Monday, June 16, Meshack Ojwang confirmed that he had spoken to the President, who provided financial assistance to the family following Albert’s death.
Presidential contribution was made along with a separate contribution of KSh 1 million from Raila Odingawho called from abroad to comfort the abandoned family.
However, the comedian, who was one of the first people to support a mourning family, said he felt betrayed and accepted by money from the same government he blamed Albert’s death.
“I was betrayed, I was disappointed and angry because we lost my brother, he lost a son, in the hands of government agencies. I felt so betrayed,” Eric said.
The activist also revealed a major support that Kenyans had shown after distributing family communications and opened the payment number to make money.
“We shared the father’s number, it was full, which is Ksh 1 million. Then we shared his second number, and it was filled, then we shared his mother, the widow and they all filled it. He explained.
According to Eric, a total donated by Kenyans reached approximately KSh 10 million in just a few days, seemingly questioning why the family still needed to receive money from the government.
