His father, Jonah Kariuki, addressed the media at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), accompanied by his lawyer.

Jonah seemed a lot of anxiety, indicating that things were not right for her baby who remained in the hospital after the shooting.
“He does not respond to treatment. He has not yet shown signs of improvement or change. The situation is still the same. We have to keep track of him and see how it goes,” He said sadly.
Boniface had already undergone surgery twice after the shooting hit him in the head and left him in critical condition.

Boniface Kariuki family is still seeking justice
The family’s attorney noted that the hospital’s bill continued to climb as Boniface was lying.
“We were told the bills had already collected more than Ksh 1 million, and it continues to grow. Only the hospital leadership can tell us the exact number. The attorney explained.
Jonah in Hoi said that the family is still seeking justice for her child whose condition is bad at the ICU.
He added that no one had contacted them in connection with the ongoing investigation.

“No one has contacted us. No one has helped us so far,” He said weakly.
Jonah’s lawyer confirmed that although they have not yet filed a formal complaint to the police, they have come to some officials.
However, no action was taken, and the government had not provided any support.

In another sad case, Jonah revealed that he lost more than KSh 200,000 to the fraudsters who pretended officials from the Social Health Authority (SHA).
The hackers contacted him, claiming that they could assist in the growing hospital bills in KNH.
As part of their fraudulent program, they requested a small registration fee and persuaded him to share his personal information, including his pin of M-money.
To Luck Worse, Jonah agreed. As soon as they reached his M-Pesa account, they released KSh 200,000.
He noted that the scammers initially requested KSh 20,500, but in his confusion, he ended up sending KSh 200,500.
