Matiang’i, who is said to have been in the United States to withdraw from the World Bank after resigning to focus on politics, was welcomed by a crowd gathered at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
While appreciating the challenges facing ordinary citizens, Matiang’i told the supporters that he had returned to focus on finding a solution to them.
He reminded them that although the intention of bringing positive change is seen across the country, the only column to achieve that is the voter card.
Matiang’i suggested that it would not make sense to always rule over the required evolution when the main parties are not involved in registering as voters.
“Citizens suffer whether they support the administration or not, suffering and challenges are on the board, you can believe me, I go to focus on how we can change the lives of our people, we can do what we want, but if we do not register and prepare to vote we will not succeed, we must be prepared to participate fully and in the future,” He said.
The former minister called on a number of young people who have recently made a loud voice about the need to change the existing political situation.
Matiang’i asked them to focus on having their voters cards and protecting them with future votes.
According to them, public thirst changes can only be achieved through the election process defined by the vote.
“Let’s organize ourselves, and please Gen Z we can do what we want, but if we do not register and prepare to vote we will not succeed, our intention is to register and plan to participate fully and in excellence in the next election process,” He said.
