Tanzanian singer Isaya Michael Mtambo, popularly known as Chinno Kid, has come out strongly to dispel swirling reports of a feud with fellow Bongo Flava artiste Mbosso, following claims that his manager had jumped ship to join Mbosso’s camp.
Speaking on the evening of Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the ‘Bongo Man’ hitmaker clarified that he had not received any reports indicating bad blood between the two and that people were simply spinning a vendetta where none exists.
He noted that the rumours were baseless, asserting that he was actually present at the launch of Mbosso’s album Room Number 3, and had even engaged him in a warm and cordial conversation.
“Mbosso and I speak regularly, and I was in attendance at his album launch. We did not bring up that issue at all. Why would we when there is absolutely no problem between us?” he asked.

Chinno, who further dismissed the reports suggesting that his manager had dumped him for greener pastures, stated that he would never allow himself to become the stumbling block in someone else’s destiny.
He insisted that he would not dwell too much on the topic, stating that everything being said about the matter was pure fabrication.
“I have never been the reason someone loses their breakthrough. I believe in blessings from God and goodwill from people. I have not heard any credible reports that my manager has gone to Mbosso, and I cannot talk too much about it, because I know everything is perfectly in order,” he added.
At the same time, Chinno affirmed that he would never shy away from showing support for another rising artiste, especially since he himself was catapulted to the limelight through the same kind of support.
He noted that he is an artiste who thrives on seeing others succeed and reiterated that he wishes his manager well, regardless of whatever path he may choose to pursue.
“I cherish the progress of every person, and I have never been part of anything that hinders someone’s blessings. I am a person who believes everyone’s share is their own, and I have never subscribed to the idea that progress comes from blocking others,” he added.
Rubbishing claims of brokenness
In the same breath, the singer tackled allegations that he had fallen on hard times and had been forced to vacate a luxurious home due to financial constraints.
Just as he had with the earlier reports, Chinno dismissed the claims with a chuckle, stating that he had no idea such stories were making the rounds.
He maintained confidently that he had not moved out because of financial hardship and emphasised that he was still residing in the same house.
“I have no idea where these reports about moving out are coming from. I still sleep in the same place. I have not encountered any such problem,” he said.
Let God decide
Chinno also called out those harbouring ill wishes, who seem to take pleasure in predicting that he would never afford more luxurious cars in the future, stating that such matters lie solely in God’s hands.
He said that experiencing financial highs and lows is part of every human journey and emphasised that abundance and scarcity are both dictated by divine will, not human speculation.
“If I am meant to drive more cars, that will be God’s plan, and I have no one to blame if He does not allow it. That is why I continue hustling. Challenges will always be there, but sometimes they are God’s way of moving you into a season of growth so that you blossom exactly where you are meant to,” he said.
