Changes in EPRA Board: William Ruto hit his husband Gladys Wanga

In a newspaper announcement on June 16, 2025, President Ruto canceled the selection of carbohydrates and announced Adan Hil Ali, a former South Mandera MP, to be the position.

“I have appointed Adan Hail Ali as a non -investment chairman (Non‑executive Chairperson) of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), for three years from June 16, 2025. Explained President Ruto in the Government Gazette.

According to the Parliamentary website:

He served as the Tourism, Creative and Information Technology Committee (ICT) in Kwale County Council before becoming a member of Parliament.

He was the General Manager of Baobab Beach Resort, from 1994 to 2013.

He holds a Business Management Degree (MBA) and a University degree (BCOM) from the University of Nairobi.

He also has a hotel management diploma from the Kenyan Tourism Institute.

Ruto first appointed EPRA Chairman on January 17, under the elements of the Energy Act of 2019 (Article 12 (1) (a), (2) & (3)).

It was his responsibility to promote good governance, strategy, management and policy guidance at the Energy Institute.

He has more than 20 years of experience in top leadership and entrepreneurial work in the public, private, and financial services.

He also holds a Bachelor of Business Management (MBA) degree, focusing on operating management, and the Arts Degree (BA) of the economy, both from the University of Nairobi.

In the Government Gazette 17 January 2025, Ruto appointed George Wanga for three years.

His appointment was claimed to be a gift for the trust of ODS (ODM) after the formation of a broader government (Broad‑based Government).

As part of the nomination, the President also passed him CS Aisha Jumwa Be Chairman of the Road Board (KRB), and Millicent Omanga to be a member of the Board of Kenya Ships Limited for three years
