A boy boy was found alive inside the pit toilet on Monday, June 16, and one of the local residents.

According to Jane Tallam, the owner of the toilet, the woman who had visited her heard the baby’s cry in the toilet when she went to help herself.
He was later notified and confirmed that the baby was in the toilet.
They informed neighbors immediately, who came out to assist in rescue efforts.
Tallam said brave young men went into the 200 -foot toilet and succeeded in rescuing the newborn.
The local deputy chief, Rhoda Maiyo, said sympathetic women had washed the baby before taking him to a close clinic for first aid.
He was later taken to a young Malwa Training and Appeal Hospital, where he died after three hours.
“We were determined to save his life,” Said one resident to TUKO.co.ke.
First sub -county police commander, Fred Abuga, said an investigation into the incident was initiated.
“As soon as we find the woman who committed this act, we will take her to court to face charges of murder and other offenses, ” Said Abuga.
