How many people died in a plane crash in Kwale?
According to a statement shared by Kwale County Commissioner Stephen Orinde, at least two officers were killed following the fatal accident.
In a statement on the eye by TUKO.co.ke, the Kenyan Defense Force said that the plane, which is a 120a Grob model, encountered an emergency while on a training trip.
“Earlier today, June 14, 2025, the Kenya Air Force Grob 120A plane had an emergency on a training trip to the general area of Mwakijembe Primary School, Ndavaya, Kwale County. The rescue is ongoing,” Information of KDF read.
The KDF also said that the damaged plane had only two officers before the accident happened.
The pictures showed the seriousness of the accident. The plane was completely closed, and some of its parts were scattered on the site.

People had gathered at the scene, probably surprised by the incident that caused the deaths of the soldiers.
Emergency Operations teams were sent to provide assistance in rescue operations in the accident area in Kinango.

The recent plane incident comes several months after two people inside were injured in an accident in the Nairobi national park.
The two, a student and pilot, were at 152 cessna, a light bird that was used for training purposes at Wes Rift’s air travel school.

Safariilink Aviation also issued a statement to the public saying that their plane was heading for Diani with five employees and 39 passengers.
