The post revealed that a private meeting between the Independent Police Management Authority (IPOA) and the National Assembly Security Committee revealed a controversial statement about the death of blogger Albert Omondi Ojwang at Nairobi Police Station.
Sources attending the session told the newspaper that IPOA believes the Ojwang killings were intended, and the plan was started as soon as he was transported from Homa Bay to Nairobi.
Prior to his arrival, young criminals were reportedly removed from his intended cell, and access was made to his murderers.
IPOA is investigating the chief officer who stayed at his eight -hour turn to 3pm, allegedly overseeing the operation. The officer has recorded a statement and is believed to have said “he had a job to do.”
Ojwang was arrested following a complaint by Deputy Inspector-General Eliud Lagat about the scandal allegations on Ojwang’s X account.
He was in good health when he phoned his wife after arriving at the center. A couple of hours later, he was excluded, questioned, and allegedly tortured until he could not answer.
One technician reportedly deleted important CCTV images, and IPOA says four officers may have held Ojwang vertically to show that he was alive when he was removed from his cell.
A medical report from Mbagathi Hospital confirms that he arrived at the dead, with visible bruises.
Police Constable James Mukhwana and OCS Samson Taalam are being investigated. IPOA has asked the court 21 more days to hold Mukhwana and is struggling to recover the deleted evidence. Dig Lagat can also be faced with questions if involved.

The daily newspaper reported that the Supreme Court overturned the 22 -year prison in Alex Shikanda and Musharaf Abdalla, convicted in the main terrorist case involving weapons and explosives found in Eastleigh Street, Nairobi in 2012.
Judge Grace Nzioka decided that the prosecution failed to prove that the two men were aware or armed, which raised doubts about their involvement.
Abdalla was arrested at the scene, while Shikanda was arrested two weeks later in Malindi.
Meanwhile, the court approved the ruling of Abdimajid Yassin Mohamed, the famous Ali Hussein or browny, who admitted nine charges related to terrorism and previously received 59 years.
However, the judge reduced his imprisonment to seven years, serving at the same time, noting that all errors were due to one act of owning property.
The court received his voluntary confession and his charges are legally equal, although the defense attorneys claimed that the previous sentence was numerous and not representative.
The 2012 Police Operation resulted in the availability of 18 kilograms of explosives, 12 grenades, suicide T -shirts, and more than 400 bullets, enough to kill more than 500 people.
Former Administrator Eliud Lagat testified that explosives included high -profile explosives and balls for greater damage.
The court dismissed the prosecutor’s argument that the release of the defendant was a danger to the public. It acknowledged the defense’s position that the two people served time for crime they were not confirmed to carry out.
The case contained allegations of false identity, money lanes, and rental assets allegedly used as a warehouse.
In spite of this, Judge Nzioka found the wrong to link Abdalla with Shikanda with weapons.
Both men have now been released, with Abdimajid’s imprisonment, to conclude a complex case of terrorism that has lasted for a decade.
