Tanzanian songstress Zuchu has taken to social media to celebrate her partner, Diamond Platnumz, after he filled up a concert venue in London on Friday, June 13, 2025.

In a heartfelt Instagram story that has since gone viral, Zuchu expressed admiration for Diamond’s rise from humble beginnings in Tandale, Dar es Salaam, to international superstardom.

“😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 My husband, Aisee, a poor boy from Tandale… may God preserve you for many of us,” she wrote alongside a video showing thousands of fans lighting up the arena with their phone torches.

A journey worth watching

The video, shared shortly after Diamond wrapped up his performance, captured the electrifying atmosphere inside the venue as fans sang along to the artist’s biggest hits.

Zuchu’s post appeared deeply personal and proud, highlighting the impact of Diamond’s success story, not just on fans, but on those closest to him.

“You are the true definition of a fighter. You teach me a lot. I’m learning so much: never to give up; nothing is impossible,” she added, suggesting that his hustle continues to inspire her.

Celebrating love

The public tribute comes less than two weeks after the two confirmed their marriage. On June 1, 2025, Diamond posted a series of wedding photos on Instagram, making it official that he had wed his longtime partner and WCB Wasafi signee, Zuhura Othman, known by her stage name Zuchu.

While the two have been romantically linked for years, Zuchu’s use of “mume wangu” (my husband) in the post was the latest public acknowledgment of their relationship, and now, their union.

In a series of follow-up posts, Zuchu couldn’t contain her joy, describing Diamond as East Africa’s hero and calling for greater recognition for the region’s talent.

“Yooooooh, this is #SWAHILINATION. It’s about time EAST AFRICA GETS ITS OWN SHINE. EAST AFRICA’S FINEST THE HERO YOH @diamondplatnumz,” she added.
