Nairobi: Albert Ojwang, a young blogger and teacher from Homa Bay County, has been a national symbol in the rise of Kenya’s complaint against police violence and arbitrary killings.

Ojwang was arrested from his home in the Kambano and transported more than 400 kilometers to the Nairobi Police Station, where he passed away after being attacked.
His arrest was allegedly linked to a social network post accusing senior police officers, including Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Eliud Lagat, for corruption and abuse of office.

“We have also interviewed some of the Witnesses, some of whom were in the night of the incident, some are the main suspects, there are two other interests in different ways and we will investigate them, we have generally interviewed 23 Witnesses,” Said Hassan.
Additionally, IPOA found that key CCTV zones from the police station had been played.
Investigators discovered that the operating disks were changed and complied with June 8 at 07:28:43 and again at 07:32:29, a move that was seen as a possible attempt to hide important evidence.

In parallel investigations, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) presented new results that have been more conflict with previous police reports.
