Nairobi: Police Constable James Mukhwana, who is linked to the murder of blogger Albert Ojwang ‘was brought to court.

During a court session, he expressed his greetings to the deceased’s family.
Mukhwana was arrested on Thursday, June 12 and detained at Capitol Hill police station before being presented to court.
The police suspect through one of his lawyers, Danstan Omarihe took the opportunity to court to send his condolences to the Ojwang family.

“My client had told me to give him condolences to a family who lost their loved one, he is human and is a great tragedy for any family to lose his loved one, on behalf of his defense team we also apologize to the bereaved family and give them grace when they face his sudden death,” Omari said.
Prior to this, a report directed to the National Police Service (NPS) and the Authority to investigate the police performance (IPOA) referred to Mukhwana as a suspect in the murder of the blogger.
Until he was arrested, Mukhwana was an officer at the Central police station where blogger Ojwang ‘died.
Mukhwana was arrested by officials of the Internal Affairs and IPOA unit.
