Albert Ojwang: A Nairobi Center Center Officer linked to Blogger Murder was arrested

Nairobi – The main suspect in the murder of blogger Albert Ojwang has been found and is now in custody, waiting to be brought to court to answer the charges.

Who killed Albert Ojwang at the police station?

The directed document, among others, the National Police Service (NPS) and the Independent Police Operations Authority (IPOA) from the Capitol Hill Police Station referred to Police Constable James Mukhwana as allegedly killing the blogger.

Until he was allegedly involved in the crime, Mukhwana was serving at Nairobi Police Station.

He was arrested by officials of the internal and IPOA unit on Thursday, June 12, and was immediately detained at Capitol Hill police station.

“Please be noted that number 260950 PC James Mukhwana of the Nairobi Police Station, Nairobi, was arrested today, 12/06/2025 and detained at Capitol Hill Police Station by officials from IAU and IPOA. A report written by the OCS of Capitol Hill said.

This comes a few hours after the Central Police OCS, Samson Talam, denied involvement in the conspiracy and carried out the Ojwang killing.

Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Mohamed Amin was satisfied with Talam as the chief suspect of the massacre.

How Central OCS defended himself

In a statement to IPOA, OCS General revealed that he was not at the center when Ojwang was brought.

He said he was phoned by officials of DCIwho had transported Ojwang from Homa Bay, to approve the late registration at the center.

According to Talam, he found Ojwang at the center being seriously injured and unanswered, thus aroused his instinct of not putting him in the situation.

He said Ojwang was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital, where he was confirmed dead when he arrived.

In a preliminary statement after the death was publicly known, police officially reported that the deceased died from a head injury he had reported after he was reported to hit his head on the wall inside the cell.

The results of the corpse, however, canceled the account, making it clear that Ojwang was tortured and attacked through the second forces.

The results were confirmed by visible marks of compression in the neck, swollen eyes, skin across the body and blood residues in the eyes and nose.

Did Ig Kanja apologize for claiming Ojwang committed suicide?

However, police chief Inspector Douglas Kanja apologized to the country following a misconception that Ojwang suicide.

He said the misleading account was created by the center OCS, who believed to be honest and honest.

The Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Mohamed Amin, said the false report issued by the OCS is sufficient to associate him with the torture and murder of Ojwang.
