What caused the Super Metro crash in Juja?

On the morning of June 10, 2025, three Super Metro collapsed in Juja after colliding with a truck; Several passengers were injured, but no deaths were reported.

The witness now tells what happened after the bus was involved in an accident saying he was among the trapped to rescue passengers.

“I was among those who came here to rescue passengers after the bus was involved in an accident, you see my clothes spilled, I found helping them out of the cross, and the boda operators were rushing to the hospital,” He told the media.

The witness claimed that their efforts were interrupted by the Super Metro manager who asked to suspend the rescue work.

“He came and said that we had to leave so we didn’t steal it, but we were dedicated. It hurt because we spent shortly after the accident to rescue everyone from three and take them to the hospital,” He complained.

However, he thanked the cooperation from motorists and car drivers who devoured their travels, and volunteered to chase the injured passengers in the hospital.

“Many passengers had serious injuries. I carried a woman who was bleeding a lot. She was worried if her children were safe,” he added.

The driver said the Super Metro bus had 33 passengers.

“I am happy to survive, I wait for the car to be pulled from here so that I can go and be examined my health,” He said.

Nyandarua accident kills 6

This comes a few days after a bus that was transporting tourists to an accident in Nyandarua County, resulting in six deaths of them, while 27 others escaped with different rates.

Nyandarua County Commissioner Abdirizak Jaldesa said the accident happened in Gichaka area on Monday, June 9 at 10 pm.

He said the tourists were traveling from Nakuru Up to the Panari Hotel in Nyahururu for sleeping all night before continuing their journey.
