Albert Ojwang: DCI says ocs Talaam is the main suspect of blogger killing

Nairobi – Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) Amin Mohamed has held his position that Samson Taalam is the main suspect in the murder of Albert Ojwang.

There were many questions after the chief of DCI To tell the senators on Wednesday, June 11, that Taalam is considered the main suspect of the Ojwang massacre.

Senators and Kenyans had wondered why Amin mentioned Taalam, while the DCI investigators were responsible for the arrest of the blogger.

However, when he came before the National Assembly Committee on Security on Thursday, June 12, Amin wanted to explain why he said Taalam was the main suspect.

According to Amin, a police account that Ojwang knocked his head on the wall came from Taalam, who was the chief officer of the police station Che Central.

He cautioned Kenyans against believing any statement made by the OCS in connection with the case that led to Ojwang’s death.

“Any statements that OCs Talam say should be treated with a little salt.

Meanwhile, eight officers at the Che Central Police Station in Nairobi recorded a statement by the Independent Police Operations Authority (IPOA) about the death of the blogger.

Taalaam led his younger siblings to the IPOA headquarters, where he gave his information on the circumstances that led to Ojwang’s death.

Wanting to withdraw, OCS explained that Ojwang was already injured when he was brought to the center. The OCS said he knew this after arriving at the station following the phone, adding that he was not present when the blogger was brought, Citizen TV reported.

  • The Independent Police Management Authority (IPOA) raised new concerns over disturbing important evidence in the death of the 31 -year -old blogger.
  • IPOA chairman Isaac Hassan vowed that the authority would not be used to protect the police against accountability, stressing that it would pursue the truth about the death of Albert Ojwang.
  • An examination of a corpse conducted by a team of governmental specialists revealed that he had suffered severe trauma, internal head injuries and symptoms of neck stomach.
