Tanzanian singer Ibrahim Abdallah Nampunga, popularly known by his stage moniker Ibraah, has officially arrived in Kenya ahead of a scheduled press conference.

The celebrated crooner, who recently severed ties with his former mentor Harmonize and exited the Konde Gang label, touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at approximately 8:00 am on the morning of Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

He was warmly received by celebrated media personality Mzazi Willy Tuva alongside his Kenyan manager, Don Tawamo, both of whom appeared elated to welcome him.

The visibly excited Ibraah was seen exchanging warm greetings with Tawamo and Tuva before he was draped in a Kenyan flag by a group of female fans who had been designated to officially usher him into the country.

In a video clip shared by SPM Buzz, the “Copy and Paste” hitmaker was also captured receiving a bouquet of flowers before being escorted out of the airport’s arrival terminal, where his convoy stood waiting.

According to a post he made on his Instagram on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, he is in the country for an exclusive media engagement involving prominent Kenyan YouTubers and mainstream outlets.

The interview sessions are expected to spotlight his fresh beginnings as an independent act and to offer fans insight into his future plans as he carves his path forward in the industry.

He is also set to thrill his Kenyan fans during a live performance slated for Friday, June 13, 2025, at a popular Nairobi club.

Konde Gang exit

The Kenya tour arrives mere days after Ibraah announced a new team of managers and business leaders, following Harmonize’s decision to release him from his label without any financial obligation.

In a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Ibraah shared a video together with the new team, all of them dressed sharply in suits after holding their first-ever strategic meeting, and expressed his excitement over the journey ahead.

The new management of the ‘Maumivu’ crooner includes Tanzanian media mogul Oyawee Gang, whom he named main manager, while his long-time confidant and Kenyan music ambassador Don Tawamo was appointed as the head business manager.

King Parazo, the CEO of Touchez Studio from Tanzania, was also named as a business manager, adding industry weight to the team’s vision and execution.

In the Instagram video, the three, alongside other members of Ibraah’s inner circle, were seen walking out of a massive mansion where the meeting had been held before proceeding outside, where they posed for a series of photos, all smiles and camaraderie.

They later left the venue in a convoy, with Ibraah seen waving cheerfully from the open window of one of the vehicles, a moment that symbolised not only movement but a breakaway from the past and a cruise into a self-directed future.

The artiste seemed elated throughout, especially considering the tug-of-war that had characterised his controversial and widely followed exit from Harmonize’s Konde Gang label.

In a caption to the video, he hailed that the appointments marked the beginning of a new era, stating that he was delighted to be working with a new family that shared his artistic and entrepreneurial vision.

“NEW FAMILY love. Main manager @oyaa gang, business manager @dona Tawamo, and @mrtoouchez,” he wrote, sealing the post with warmth and certainty.
