Days after news emerged that renowned TikToker Milly wa Doc had passed away following a tragic health complication, her family has now come forward to disclose both the date when she will be laid to rest and the revised budget for her burial.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Milly’s firstborn son, who has since been entrusted by TikTokers to manage the phone number receiving contributions, revealed that they had officially settled on Friday, June 13, 2025, as the date when his beloved mother will be laid to rest.
The heartbroken son, Brian, aged 21, also addressed the wave of uproar that erupted after an earlier Ksh2.5 million budget had circulated online by announcing that the family had revised the amount significantly, bringing it down to a more modest Ksh600,000.
“As you all remember, the burial is on the 13th. So I have received calls, and now I will read the budget for you. The new budget is officially Ksh600,000; please forget the earlier one,” Brian said while reading from his notes during the livestream.
He went on to explain that the exaggerated budget had been cut across various items, revealing that the cost for the coffin had been revised to Ksh85,000, and the family outfits—initially budgeted at Ksh200,000—had now been halved to Ksh100,000.
“Casket, Ksh85,000 down from Ksh100,000. Cemetery, Ksh10,000. Mortuary fees, Ksh40,000 down from Ksh50,000. Hearse, Ksh15,000. Family outfits cost Ksh100,000 for Milly’s children and other kids she had housed, down from Ksh200,000. Body dressing, Ksh30,000 down from Ksh50,000. Family transportation, Ksh15,000 down from Ksh30,000. Security, Ksh15,000. Water for Harambee, Ksh5,000 down from Ksh10,000. Food and catering, Ksh50,000 down from Ksh300,000. Hospital bill, Ksh10,000 and pastor, Ksh5,000,” he shared emotionally.

Brian’s detailed update, which came just a day after the family also announced that Milly would be buried at a cemetery, included a heartfelt plea to fellow TikTokers to help push for an autopsy so that he could uncover the true cause of his mother’s sudden death.
“Personally, I feel like we need to do a post-mortem, but I do not know what you guys think,” he added, his voice heavy with uncertainty and longing.
Rent arrears
Brian further revealed that part of the Ksh300,000 raised by TikTokers since Milly’s passing had been used to clear rent arrears she had left behind, noting that this was a necessary step to bring closure and dignity to her final chapter.
He defended his decision to use part of the funds for rent, stating clearly that he had the receipts and would be sharing them with supporters in a WhatsApp group after ending his livestream.
“Yesterday, the amount hit Ksh 300,000, and I need you guys to help so that we can at least reach the Ksh 600,000 target. I know we can do it today. Also, here is a new update—out of the Ksh 300,000 raised, we paid the arrears we had for the house. So, rent arrears are sorted. I will show you the receipts, but I am using the phone live.
“I will share everything in the WhatsApp group,” he promised.
