Najua uliachwa na Nana! – King Kaka dissed on live TV

Rap royalty King Kaka was left momentarily speechless on live television after a fearless contestant delivered a jaw-dropping diss during a reality show — a moment that’s now setting TikTok ablaze.

Spitter 99, a relatively unknown rapper before an episode on talent show ‘The Next Super Star’, has exploded into the limelight after spitting bars that took direct aim at the show’s panel — and especially at King Kaka’s recent split from long-time partner Nana Owiti.

King Kaka my G, najua uliachwa na Nana. Uko na watoto, na uko na shughuli,” the rapper fired — and the audience erupted.

Cameras caught King Kaka visibly stunned, before laughing off the moment, clearly caught off guard but choosing humour over hostility.

It was a razor-sharp lyrical line referencing the emotional December 2024 announcement when King Kaka and media personality Nana Owiti shared news of their breakup in a dignified joint statement, ending their 13-year relationship.

The two former lovebirds announced they had parted ways in a joint statement posted on their respective social media handles.

“We honestly never thought we would one day write a statement like this but life happens. After much reflection and consideration we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship.

“Over the course of 13 years, we have shared countless memories, built a life together and most importantly raised three incredible children who will always be our top priority.

“This decision was not made lightly and we remain deeply committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive relationship as we move forward separately. As public figures, we recognize that our personal lives may attract attention but we kindly ask for privacy and understanding during this time as we navigate this transition as a family,” Nana and King Kaka said.

The two said they are now focused on co-parenting to raise their three children.

“Our focus remains on co-parenting our children with love, stability and respect. They are the heart of everything we do and their happiness and well-being will always come first. We are grateful for the love and support we have received throughout our journey together and we ask for your continued kindness as we take this next step.

“This is a joint decision made with mutual respect and we look forward to embracing to he future as individuals while continuing to co-parent with the same partnership and dedication we’ve always had. Thank you for respecting our privacy,” they said.

Motif targetted

King Kaka wasn’t the only judge caught in the crossfire.

Spitter 99 also lobbed a lyrical grenade at award-winning producer Motif the Don with the cheeky line:

Motif the Don ajaribu kulipa okoa,” — poking fun at the producer’s financial habits in true hip-hop fashion.

Motif laughed and shook his head, clearly amused but surprised by the boldness. “Huyu ni entertainer, sindio?” he shouted back, grinning.

Size 8’s reaction

Gospel singer and judge Size 8 was stunned — her wide eyes said it all — but instead of taking offence, she rose to her feet, clapping.

“Ooh my God, you are the highest guy! I will give top marks today. You are super!” she beamed, showing support for Spitter 99’s nerve and showmanship.

Spitter 99’s diss went viral on social media, earning him 15 seconds of fame.

Speaking on Monday, June 9, 2025, Spitter 99 explained that the track wasn’t designed to hurt anyone but was a calculated artistic risk meant to make an impression.

“It wasn’t personal. It was just hip-hop. I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone… I didn’t go there to disrespect. I went there to perform,” he said, noting he admires all the judges and grew up watching King Kaka.

“When you step on that stage, you either go all in — or go home.”
