Kitui’s elected MP (MCA) wants Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai to apologize publicly after allegedly being attacked during his uncle’s funeral in Makuka, Kitui East parliament.

Why was the Wiper MCA attacked Kitui?
Wiper’s MCA, Jacinta Mwioni, claimed his attack was based on the support of the former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to run for president 2027.
The visionary speech at the funeral, held at the end of the week, was interrupted when a group of youths raided the platform, with clubs and sticks, and attacked him.
The MCA had accused the President William Ruto by deceiving Kenyans during his speech before the attack.
“The cord community has been separated for a very long time. The time is now. In 2027, our son, Man Stevo, must go to the White House.
He now wants an apology from the local MP, who was not present during the incident.
According to the ward representative, the MP’s remarks during the celebration of the day show that he was involved in the incident.

He claimed that the MP had run the bandits who attacked him due to his statement.
“These were the funeral of my uncle. The abuse I was committed was not only to disrespect me as a leader and family member but also for women’s personality in leadership. Nimrod Mbai must apologize to my family and Kenyan women,” Mwioni said.
He also called on law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to court, warning that not taking action could lead to such attacks in the future.
“If we allow this situation to slip, it will set a dangerous history. We must reject political threats, especially against women,” she added.
Other Wiper leaders from Kitui area, including Kitui Township MCA Daniel Ngoima and MCA designated Rose Kathoka Kasyoka, also criticized the incident.
“This attack happened when he was (a vision) burying his uncle. We cannot and we should not tolerate threats against women in politics,” said Kasyoka.
Is Gachagua humiliating Kalonzo?
