The leader was criticized and ridiculed by a crowd of angry people during his visit to Othaya Nyeri County on Wednesday, June 4.
The tensions exposed a massive upheaval between the political parties of Mount Kenya, especially those that support President William Ruto and those based on former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Kindiki, who was Othaya to launch the construction of the Othaya Modern Community Stadium, found himself entering a political storm.
The stadium project was supposed to be a time to celebrate the development of the locals, but it turned into a field of political war and hostility.
When Kindiki arrived at the venue, the crowd had already gathered outside the fence of the stadium, seemingly waiting not to welcome him, but to disrupt the event.
The group raised the noise of “One Term! One Term! One Term!”a phrase that has become a slogan in Gachagua camp, to mark their faith and campaign to make him Ruto to be president of one term.
Some of the crowd went away, some mocked, making it clear that Kindiki, despite being leaving the area, was entering Gachagua’s fortress.
