The room lowered its breath, every word and signs with a sense of emergency and mental ability, with the heavy political leaders participating in the struggle of words that attracted them all.
Did the Homa Bay MPs show their wisdom?
During a parliamentary session on Wednesday, June 4, Suba North MP Millie criticized Homa Bay Town Kaluma for boasting of qualifying for international law.
He pointed out that he and Suba South MP Caroli also studied environmental law at the postgraduate level, but did not boast that in parliament.
“I can also be proud that Mr. Caroli and I were students of the environmental law, but should I say?” Millie questioned.
Then Kaluma stood up and explained that, although he did not read international public law, he was the first lawyer in the country.
“So Mr. Millie should be involved in environmental issues, not knowing that I am an expert in the area,” Kaluma boasted.
Caroli interrupted, claiming that Kaluma was misleading Parliament by claiming that he was the first to read the sea law. Millie then stood up, claiming that she was the chief attorney.
It was then that many leader Kimani Ichung’wah said he realized that the parliamentarians from Homa Bay were fighting an educational war.
“I just want to inform Parliament that Mr. Kaluma is from Homa Bay County, Millie is from Homa Bay County, and Caroli is also from Homa Bay County. “So, the law of the sea and the environmental law is united, whether it is Homa Bay or in the National Assembly. It is united, and we all move together, happy,” Ichung’wah said.
At the time, Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie stood up with different views, saying that the ongoing debate in parliament was not systematic, as there were more important issues to address the time.
“I have different views. In the afternoon we have very serious issues to address.
