At the top, the alliance seems to be the same, but behind the closed doors, quiet warfares are emerging, which can soon be poured into complete political chaos.
The most recent thing is the dispute between Wiper party champions and supporters of the former deputy president Rigathi Gachaguawho is currently leading the Democracy of the Citizens’ Party (DCP).
The essence of the friction is a strong criticism from Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, who on Monday, June 2, attacked Gachagua.
Makau accused the former DP of disrespecting the wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and interfere with party issues.
The MP’s anger was fueled by the remarks made by Gachagua at a recent meeting after a meeting at Tseikuru’s house.
Gachagua was reportedly criticizing Wiper MPs, including Makau, by skipping the meeting, a comment that sparked tension in the Union.
Makau did not hesitate because he accused Gachagua of humiliating him and expressing the absolute contempt of Kalonzo Musyoka and the Wiper party.
“I am deeply saddened to see a respected leader, who says he wants to lead Kenya, as a man like Gachagua, a man who was removed from the post of deputy president, coming here Mavoko pretending he wants to insult me in front of the people who chose me. I want to say that was a great shame. The MP said.

Makau went farther, accusing Gachagua of holding dictatorship and using public platforms to humiliate his fellow leaders.
“You can’t come to someone’s home and then you start misrepresenting his son in such a way of humiliating him. So even talking about me in the presence of a Wiper leader, who is the leader of my party, showed that he does not respect the party, does not respect the leader, and even does not respect the legislators,” Makau continued.
The crisis is due to the greatest hatred with Makau claiming that Gachagua has never forgiven him for voting to support a move that led to his removal.
“That Gachagua was angry because I voted for her to go home, she knows exactly why I did it. She knows it is because of the demolition that happened to Mavoko. The MP added.
The MP painted Gachagua as a revenge and unrepentant man, accusing him of using political positions to get personal results and divide the ranks of opposition.
