During his official speech on Sunday, June 1, the governor of Nakuru Susan Kihika mistakenly referred to the “Wazunyoro” instead of the “chains,” a confusion that immediately attracted emotions due to political attitudes.
The event took place during the 62nd Power Day celebrations organized in Nakuru County, where Kihika was listing development projects in the area.
However, it is the mention of “Wamunyoro”, the countryside of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, where it surprised many.
“Building two lectures in Wamunyoro, Sorry, the Technical Training Center, including the fence,” Kihika said, causing strong emotions from the crowd.
Wamunyoro, located in Nyeri County, has recently emerged as a center of political activity, especially after the crisis of Gachagua and the President William Ruto.

Since then, the former deputy president has used his Wamunyoro home to host members, interviews with the media and report to the public, often criticizing the current administration.
The governor, seemingly aware of the effects of his verbal slip, was quick to keep himself away from any thought of obedience.
He assured the audience of his loyalty to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
“No, I’m on the side of Ruto, every day,” He said, with great joy from the crowd. “And, by the way, my speech writer has been fired!” he added.
It is not the first time for a senior official associated with President William Ruto leaving their tongue to slip publicly.
