It is official, Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has officially tied the knot with his longtime lover and fellow artiste Zuhura Othman alias Zuchu.
Diamond shared the exciting news with his fans through a series of photos on Instagram on Sunday, June 1, 2025, accompanied by a long cryptic message. In his post, the Bongo Flava sensation spoke about the maturity of staying silent even when people speak falsely about you.
“One of the things I’ve learned is the maturity of remaining silent… This maturity requires a high level of patience. It demands you to have endurance, especially when someone or people falsely accuse you in public, while you know the truth but choose to stay quiet,” he wrote.
Adding;
“It is not easy, but the rewards are great, because your battles are fought by God, and you end up winning every time,” he noted.
“I know everyone has a different picture of Diamond Platnumz and marriage. But today, I want to tell you that Diamond Platnumz has been married before… and someday I’ll explain what happened,” he stated.

Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote, also confirmed the wedding on her Instagram, congratulating the couple.
“Alhamdulillah, it went well. Congratulations, my son Naseeb and your wife Zuhura,” she wrote.

In a video circulating online, Zuchu is seen recording herself in a car with Diamond, joyfully saying, “My husband, we are married,” while Diamond laughs in the background.
Diamond to Zuchu
This moment comes just a few months after the couple publicly declared their love for each other on Valentine’s Day. On February 14, Diamond shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing how deeply he loves Zuchu more than any woman he has ever been with.
“That word—sweet like what, beautiful like what, or love like what, where love, beauty, sweetness, and value go beyond words, that is you to me… I have been with many, but none have ever been loved by me more than you,” he expressed.

At the time, Diamond also addressed rumours about their relationship, asking Zuchu not to believe lies from outsiders.
“You’re letting me down by not realising how much this fool loves you,” he wrote.
He criticised online trolls, calling them online flies, and accused them of trying to interfere in their relationship using clips from his professional work.
“And allowing these online flies to control you using small bits of my work,” he said.
He advised Zuchu not to react to critics, but to instead enjoy life and focus on their blessings.
“You should never respond to them with any reaction other than enjoying life and celebrating the blessings we have been granted by God. Happy Valentine, Zuuh. Happy Valentine, my love,” he said.
Breakup
On November 12, 2024, Zuchu shocked fans by announcing that she and Diamond had broken up after three years of dating. She posted on Instagram that she had chosen to end the relationship for her well-being, and Diamond had agreed.
“After three years of dating, Nasib [Diamond Platnumz] and I have positively decided to call it quits,” she wrote.
The announcement led to speculation that their relationship had ended for good. However, Diamond later clarified that his statements, which sparked the breakup rumours, had been misunderstood. He explained that his role in the Netflix reality show Young, Famous & African involved him acting flirtatiously, and fans should not take the clips seriously.
“It’s just a show like any other—like Jua Kali—and my character is that of a ladies’ man. Let’s watch, enjoy, and be proud as Tanzanians of what we’ve accomplished. Let’s not edit clips just to hurt Zuhura—it’s not right,” he said.
