He urged residents to support him in his intention to cooperate with the President William Rutoif that will bring about long -awaited progress in the area.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP was speaking to residents during a public rally in Lugari, Kakamega County, where he wanted residents to support his decision, emphasizing that politics should serve development interests.
The MP revealed that Ruto promised to set aside a key road in the area, and explained that his support for the President would depend on the implementation of the promises.
“Ruto is my neighbor. If he fulfills the promise of the construction of Turbo and Luandeti roads, I will not have to be his follower,” Nabwera said.
He asked the residents not to turn to him, emphasizing that political trust without real benefits is useless.
“Politics without progress is foolish. You can’t eat empty words,” He said with emphasis.
Lugari MP is unhappy with the residents who support Gachagua
Nabwera expressed disgust by some of the residents who continue to support the former deputy president Rigathi Gachaguawho accused him of blocking efforts to complete road projects.
He claimed that the funds allocated for the construction of the roads, which were to be completed by 2023, were directed while Gachagua was in power.
Referring to his political position more broadly, Nabwera cited cultural example to explain the political change in the country.

Is Raila in the Ruto government?
In another statement reported by TUKO.co.ke, Raila emphasized that he is not part of the government, despite ODM members holding the main position in the government.
Speaking during the 42nd ICPAK meeting in Mombasa, the ODM leader explained that his party had only provided experts to help the Kenyan government first manage the economy.
He emphasized that ODM’s participation should not be interpreted as officially joining the government.
He mentioned that leaders like John Mbadi, Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya, and Opiyo Wandayi were sent to the Ruto Cabinet for the purpose of stabilizing the country, not as a sign of political support.
