Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki has marked the birthday of his son, Michael, popularly known as Samidoh Junior, with a heartfelt message, expressing his admiration for how his son is growing up, embodying all his finest qualities.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, May 29, 2025, the ‘Wendo wa Ihera’ crooner reflected on how, day by day, he has observed his son modelling himself on him in numerous ways and offered blessings for him on this special occasion.
“They say Kahii Gakuru na Ithe ni ùndù ùmwe, I see it every day in you. Same fire in the eyes, same rhythm in the soul. Today, I do not merely celebrate your birth; I honour the mirror you have become, the legacy you carry,” he posted.
Samidoh further expressed his heartfelt joy at having a son, saying that whenever he looks at him, he is immediately reminded of his own past.
He also noted that his son has become a reflection of his own future and continued to bestow kind wishes upon his soul as he turns a year older.
“The future wrapped in my past. Happy birthday, my son. May your steps thunder like the ones before you,” he added.
Edday Nderitu’s birthday message
Meanwhile, Samidoh Junior’s mother, Edday Nderitu, also took to social media to celebrate their son, marvelling at how quickly time has flown and how much he has grown.
She referred to him as her sweet baby and pledged to always stand by and support him, no matter the circumstances.
“Happy birthday, my love. You will always be my baby no matter how tall you grow,” she wrote on Facebook.
Edday also noted how Michael has become wiser with each passing day and fondly reminisced about the tender moments of his early childhood, describing him as utterly adorable.
“My sweet baby is all grown up. 🥺💙 Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday I was rocking you to sleep, and now here you are, so big, so smart, becoming your own little person.”
She added that throughout Michael’s journey of growing up, she has learnt invaluable lessons in patience, strength and love, and she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the profound blessing of being made a mother.
“Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of my life. You have taught me so much about love, strength and patience. Your smile still melts my heart just as it did the very first time I saw you,” she added.
Much like Samidoh, Edday made a heartfelt prayer for Michael, hoping that God grants him a long and safe life.
“I am so proud of you for your kind heart, your beautiful spirit and everything you are becoming. I pray over your life today and always. May God cover you, guide you and bless you in ways only He can,” she posted.
