Rigathi Gachagua shares the Book of Thiong’o which comforted her when she took off

Following the death of a veteran writer, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua He revealed how one of his main functions was the source of inspiration and power.

In a condolences to the late Novelist, Gachagua through social networks to share personal reflections on how the book of Ngugi ‘A grain of wheat’ was comforted during one of the most difficult times in his political life.

Gachagua reported that after being removed from office, when he faced a sense of unconsciousness and lost influence, he turned to the novel to comfort himself.

Apart from Ngugi’s enthusiasm as a writer, he also highlighted the permanent importance of his work in encouraging resilience in times of challenge.

“His inspiration to me crossed the class into my political world; when I left the office at the end of last year, I read and read his book, ‘The grain of wheat’. “If a man of great literary talent has ever lived who has influenced my world of literary language and communication, be it the use of symbols, the language of the proverb, the metaphor, the metallimia, the poetry, the talent is Prof. Thiong’o,” Gachagua said.
