Janet Atieno lost her older sister, Rosie Akinyi, who passed away after a couple of days.

When did Akinyi appear last time?

Atieno said he found the body of his sister who disappeared in the City of Nairobi’s corpse after traveling to find him.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, The 21 -year -old woman narrated to her sister’s disappearance until she found her dead.

“The last time he appeared at his house was on Sunday, May 18. He had cleaned his clothes and took them to a hanging line on the ceiling. On Monday, May 19, he did not report to work. He worked as a hostess at a hotel. His boss tried to call him, but he did not respond, so he sent one of the colleagues, who lived in a neighbor’s key,” insisted.

“We went to the City’s mortuary – our first and last station. The waiter told us about the unlawful corpse that had been brought a few days ago by Korogocho police officers. I asked to see the picture. He was my sister,” she cried.

Atieno was sent to Nairobi with his mother

When his colleague Akinyi arrived at his house, he found the door open. He took the keys from the bag that Akinyi had a storage habit to return to work.

However, Akinyi did not return to work or responded to a phone from boss and his mother, Susan Achieng ‘Abuya as anxiety increased.

Achieng ‘asked Atieno to travel to Nairobi to find his older sister, who was also the mother of two.

On Tuesday, a colleague Akinyi returned to his house and found out he was not at home.

While trying to call him, he found the phone under the Akinyi river.

He sent the phone to their boss as the Akiki had no family around.

“She came to answer my mother’s phone and told me everything. That’s when my mother phoned me and took me to Nairobi.

“We went to the City’s mortuary – our first and last station. The waiter told us about the unlawful corpse that had been brought a few days ago by Korogocho police officers. I asked to see the picture. He was my sister,” she cried.

When did Atieno do his KCSE exam?

Atieno, who performed his KCSE test in 2022, later confirmed that his sister’s body had been released from the river.

“I phoned my mother and explained the situation. Now we are stuck because we have no money for a corpse or pay a mortuary fee. We also want to transport her body to our village for burial, but we have no money,” she said in tears.
