What did the pope today write in Swahili?
On Monday, May 26, the pope surprised many by sharing the message in Swahili. First, he published in English, saying that Africa is a good example for the whole world in matters of faith.
In English, the pope wrote:
“The continent of Africa gives great witness to the whole world. Thank you for living your faith in Jesus Christ.
Later, he published a Swahili translation that said:
“The African continent gives great testimony to the whole world. Thank you for living your faith in Jesus Christ. How important it is that every Battle should feel called by God to be a symbol of hope in today’s world.”
The message attracted his followers, some seeking help to know the language used.
But for Tanzanians and Kenyans, their response was based on hearts of gratitude and humor:

Did the Pope today meet William Ruto?
