Naivasha’s father tells bitterly how his wife’s death sent him to prison: “I was not guilty”

Naivasha – for James Githae Kamau, life has been an endless struggle against fate, unjust judgment, and Luck bad.

From the beginning of the humble porter to the prison cells and court rooms, his journey reached a horrible scale when he found himself in jail because of the mysterious death of his suffering wife.

Githae’s life after school

Githae was born and raised in Naivasha, and her life took a difficult direction as soon as she finished primary school.

With dreams of living instead of succeeding, he left home in search of poor jobs and found a job.

However, Itugi TV reports that the lucky meeting with the criminal gang completely changed its life.

“I was young and disappointed,” Githae recalls, adding that the four -men gang targeted traders who flourished by robbery attacks.

Githae’s first button

In his second operation alone, a disaster occurred when they were arrested by police at the club where they were enjoying the money they had robbed.

Githae had come out to buy something and help to be killed, but his colleagues were shot and killed.

He was later arrested and charged with looting of force and attempt to kill. He was found guilty and sentenced to two years in the Naivasha Maximum Prison.

He served 18 months’ imprisonment before being released and returned home in 2015, where he discovered that his wife had been married again and took their daughter.

Along with the discriminatory, he tried to start a new life. Several months later, she met a woman who was selling illegal alcohol and who had epilepsy.

After a family dispute dismissed the woman on the road, Githae gave her asylum, and their living together turned into marriage.

But their marriage was not at peace.

“His shock was vague or predictable. I often returned home and found him fallen,” He explained.

The death of Githae’s wife

The tragedy occurred in June 2023. On Sunday morning, when Githae was preparing to go to work, his wife suffered epilepsy.

In a quick search movement, he ran to search for pharmacies.

“There were not many pharmacies open. When I returned I found him lifeless,” He narrated bitterly.

Although at first the death was considered a health incident, doubts emerged quickly. Her mother -in -law, who was still disgusted for previous conflicts, accused her of murder.

Githae will be thrown into prison

Githae was arrested and spent eight months of torture. His wife was buried without him being present.

Six months later, the court found him innocent, but the effects had already occurred.

Githae’s name was nullified, and her respect for society disappeared.

“I lost everything – my freedom, honor, my wife, and time I could not return,” He says in a sad voice.

Now as a free man, Githae lives in the hope that she will live enough to see her children grow up and become adults.
