Did Kindiki ever work for Wetang’ula?

Speaking during a national prayer on Wednesday, May 28, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula explained that life could keep the person under you later in life.

Before inviting the Deputy President to address the nation, he remembered that he had served as his boss in the law profession.

“And now I invite Mr. Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Professor Abraham Kithure Kindiki, who I had the honor of being his boss in the law profession at some point. Wetang’ula said.

Kindiki agreed and when he arrived on the platform he confirmed the words:

“As Speaker Wetang’ula said, I actually worked in his law company,” Said Kindiki.

Kithure Biography Kindiki

Kithure Kindiki was born on July 16, 1972, in Irunduni village in Tharaka Nithi County.

He attended Irunduni Primary School before joining Lenana High School.

He later studied for a law degree (LLB) at Moi University, then received a diploma in legal training from the Kenya School of Law.

Continuing his studies abroad, Kindiki obtained a master’s degree in international human rights and democracy laws, as well as a Master’s degree (PhD) in international law from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

At the age of 52, Kindiki has over 26 years of experience.

In the teaching profession, he taught at the Moi University Law School and later became the Chief Lecturer and Head of the Public Law Department at the University of Nairobi.

He also served as deputy head of the Faculty of Law at the college.

In addition to teaching, Kindiki is a graduate attorney and is allowed to conduct cases in the Kenyan High Court and also in the International Criminal Court (ICC).

His public service began in 2008 when he was employed as secretary of national solidarity under the former president Mwai Kibaki.

He served as the Tharaka-Nithi Senator from 2013 to 2022. During this period, he was the leader of the majority in the Senate (2013–2017) and Deputy Speaker (2017–2020).

The Ministry of Interior recognizes Kindiki as a vibrant international for the International Human Rights Law.

He has served as a consultant to various national and international organizations, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the United Nations Development Plan (UNDP).
