Nairobi – Investigations from the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) have intensified their investigation into allegations of the kidnapping of Juja MP George Koimburi.

On Tuesday, May 27, detectives arrested a close ally of Juja MPs in question.

NTV reported that the clergy of DCI They arrested Cyrus Kieru Muhia for Koimburi’s kidnapping outside a church in Kiambu County on Sunday, May 24.

According to police spokesman Michael Muchiri, Muhia is the owner of Subaru’s car, which was used in allegations of kidnapping.

“He is the owner of the Subaru Forester car, which is alleged to have stopped the MP, leading to the MP being kidnapped,” Muchiri said.

Muchiri also revealed that detectives are also searching for a bodaboda allegedly used to take the MP from a house in the area to a coffee farm owned by businessman Jimmy Wanjigi.

The recent incidents come after police inspector General Douglas Kanja suggested that Koimburi should prepare his kidnapping to avoid arrest by police.

Kaja said that a professional study of the field in which Koimburi was thrown had revealed conflicting information.

During the site visit, officials noticed a huge difference between the plants and the road layout seen on the online video and what was on the Wanjigi property.

“Police officers from Juja responded quickly, visiting the area claimed and keeping records of the area. After comparing the plants and roads at the scene and the video, it was revealed that the two were not in line,” Kanja said.

Meanwhile, Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula called for an urgent parliamentary investigation into the disappearance and re -emergence of the Juja MP.

Commenting on Tuesday afternoon, Wetang’ula confirmed that Koimburi, who was reportedly disappeared on Sunday, May 24, was later found alive in a coffee field under incomprehensible conditions and is currently hospitalized in Nairobi.

Wetang’ula revealed that the hospital serving the MP was reportedly deprived of all visitors, including detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI), following instructions from the MP’s family, which has exacerbated the riddle of the case.

In addition, the Speaker instructed members of the Security Committee to visit the Juja MP at the hospital and provide Parliament for his situation.

But even when MPs were looking for answers, Wetang’ula warned against seeing the Juja MP’s case as a special incident.
