The event, chaired by MCA nominee Cecilia Waimu and party official Abdallah Karenju, was also used as a forum to challenge former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua by inventing ethnic conflicts.
“We are fully committed to conducting Ruto 2027 re -election campaigns because of his interesting record,” Karenju said. “In just three years, programs such as the affordable housing program and sluming projects have shown significant progress. He has received a second term, and no one should be allowed to disrupt that direction.”
Gachagua is accused of stirring up chaos
Waimu recited the feelings accusing Gachagua of engaging in divisive and outdated techniques.
Some speakers went a long way, condemning the recent statement of Gachagua referring to that Kenya could be hit by a post -election riots in the 2007/08 elections if the 2027 elections were not badly administered by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Nancy Njeri, a resident of Embakasi East, who survived the post -election riots in the 2007/08 elections, issued a stern warning for politicians to stop using fear as a campaign strategy.
“We who have witnessed cruelty against women and children themselves cannot endure the idea to happen again,” she said. “It’s someone who saw that fear through a TV screen can talk about it very easily. Such leaders should be rejected.”
Zahara Mohammed, another speaker, praised Ruto’s agenda to empower women, saying many beneficiaries are already going through significant improvements in their lives.
Other supporters include Dancun Ochanda, James Gichari, Teresia Mwangi, Winnie Atieno, Nancy Ndhenge, Grace Wauuka, Nancy Njeru, Regina Muteti, Mary Njuguna, and Donald Gitau.
