What Happened?

The aftermath of the exit saw Mara Sugar’s Facebook page share a photo of Bajaber appearing to struggle against striker Noah Jagongo, insinuating the midfielder was outclassed.

However, the narrative painted by the post was misleading.

The image failed to show that Bajaber had tripped momentarily but quickly recovered to stop Jagongo with a decisive tackle moments later.

Despite the FKF Cup disappointment, Bajaber continues to enjoy a standout season with Kenya Police FC.

The team currently leads the FKF Premier League table, ahead of heavyweights Tusker and Gor Mahia.

The midfielder’s stock has been rising steadily, especially after his performance during the March international break where he scored in Kenya’s 3-3 draw against Gambia in a 2026 World Cup Qualifier.
