Father Cheruiyot, who was the priest of the parish of St. Matthias Mulumba TOT, was shot by unknown invaders on Thursday, May 22, causing great fear and sadness in the area.
What did Father Allois Cheruiyot ask Ruto?
In the video, Cheruiyot said that the clergy in the area have the responsibility to “open hearts and minds,” with the aim of changing those who are bad.
However, he noted that the priests face challenges due to lack of transportation in a constant and unsafe violence.
Cheruiyot seemed to ask the President’s assistance to facilitate their movement as they carry out their service.
“They ask for help so they can travel easily. Even cars for meetings like this would help bring people together to pray,” He said.
In addition, the late Padre said that the local churches help the disabled but need government support to continue the work.
“These churches below, despite preaching peace, also help those who are not able. Said Cheruiyot.
“We thank the Government for caring for the disadvantaged. If we support the ministry of these priests to open hearts and minds, as well as to support the disadvantaged, it will be a great help to the Kingdom of God,” he added.
