Farouk criticized them for running from local political competition and trying to spark divisions in neighboring countries.

In a fierce speech he delivered the South Mugirango area on Thursday, May 22, Farouk did not hide his anger, involving the actions of those activists and fear as well as inappropriate political games.

Speaking in front of residents, Farouk, known for his loyalty to the President, praised the government of Tanzania by urging these Kenyan activists quickly.

He suggested that they take legal action, saying their actions violated diplomatic values ​​and put Kenya in a bad image.

“Do you see they have sent bad habits to Tanzania, we want to respect our neighbors, our countries are not one. You Kenyans in South Mugirango, people with such bad habits; be imprisoned or not imprisoned?” Farouk asked.

The activists had crossed the border to show solidarity with Tanzania’s opposition leader Tundu Lissu, but were arrested and sent home by Tanzanian officials.

Why did Kenyan activists go to Tanzania?

For Farouk, the move was not only a diplomatic requirement but also a moral victory, accusing the activists of sending Kenya’s internal political games to Tanzania.

He claimed they had no intention of solidarity but were looking for a platform outside Ruto’s influence.

He ignored them for their allegations of engaging in Tanzanian politics, explaining that they had no courage to compete for arguments at home.

“They have fled to Tanzania because they are afraid to compete with William Ruto. You see they have gone there to compete with the solution, we tell them to come here to South Mugirango to sell their policies, not sell ethnicity,” He said.

When was Boniface Mwangi released?

Farouk’s remarks were made shortly before Kenyan activist, Boniface Mwangi, was evacuated from Tanzania after being detained for more than three days without legal or embassy.

Mwangi had traveled to Dar es Salaam to attend the case of Tundu Lissu, facing treason charges.

Immediately upon arrival, he was arrested and detained without any explanation. The Kenya’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that despite diplomatic efforts, the Tanzanian authorities refused to give them Mwangi’s access during its barrier.

His release occurred after pressure from activists and civil society organizations in Kenya The procession claiming his release.

Mwangi was evicted by the road and found Ukunda, Kwale County, before being taken to Nairobi for health examination.

Mwangi reported that he and the activist from UgandaAgather Atuhaire, arrested by him, was tortured at the instructions of a Tanzanian government security officer.
