Garissa – Councilor of Jarajila Ward, Noor Sheikh Farah, broke the silence and apologized following a shocking incident in which he was seen chasing clients filled with fear inside a popular restaurant in the city.

The shocking event, which took place at the Albeik hotel shortly after the Garissa Cultural Festival, sparked a major national debate.
The CCTV region from the restaurant showed the councilor suddenly coming in with a knife, causing customers to run in fear.
In the video, he was seen chasing two women to the inner room before coming out of the act that confused and scared people.
Why did the Garissa councilor carry a knife?
In the new direction of the incident, the councilor has now emerged and apologized, explaining that his action was due to a dispute allegedly to start outside the restaurant.
“My name is Noor Sheikh Farah. He started by saying in a statement filled with regret.
In his description, Noor described the circumstances that led to the knife carrying the knife as anxious and threats.
According to him, the dispute did not start inside the restaurant but in the parking area, where he claimed to be shocked and besieged by two people – one in front of him and the other in the back.
Defending his action as a defense from the supposed danger, Noor acknowledged the seriousness of what had happened and the fear caused.
He apologized to the public, especially to the restaurant clients affected by the violence.
“I apologize to the customers and all the people of Garissa County. It was not for bad intentions; I was just protecting myself,” He said.

Has the Garissa councilor carrying a knife arrested?
Police have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway, in which local police commander Samuel Boit said two videos were being investigated.
He explained that there was one video showing the councilor being attacked outside the restaurant, and the other showing him as he was chasing customers inside.
“Police have opened the case cover to investigate these two incidents. We have received two videos around the Internet … Once the investigation is completed, we will submit the file to the relevant authorities for further action,” Boit said.

He also called on the public to calm down and avoid disseminating false information, emphasizing that contrary to the information surrounding, the councilor has not been arrested.
“I would like to tell the public to ignore the statement that the councilor has been arrested. It is not true, we have not yet arrested him. I urge the public to remain calm,” he added.
