A 25 -year -old man has been arrested in Kirinyaga County after he allegedly killed his father in a brutal home controversy in Karumandi in Gichugu parliament.

Confirming the incident, Gichugu Commander, Johnson Wachira, said the suspect, identified as Muchira Murage, allegedly attacked his 44 -year -old father, Boniface Murage, following a fierce dispute.
“We understand there was a quarrel between the two of them, and the suspect used a sword to cut all his father’s hands,“Said Wachira.
According to the commander, the suspect walked to the Kiakaga police station and reported the incident, before seeking treatment at Kirinyaga sub -district hospital.
His father was also rushed to the hospital but died later.
“He arrived at the center claiming he was injured during the riot and was later taken to hospital. His father died shortly after being admitted,” Wachira added.
The suspect was tracked and found at Kerugoya Referral Hospital, where he had been rushed by a bodaboda driver.
Investigating officers arrested him at the hospital and put him in police custody while continuing to receive treatment.

“He stays under police protection at the hospital as the investigation is underway,” Wachira confirmed.
Relatives and residents were scared and condemned the incident, calling it horrible. The suspect’s mother, Mumbi Murage, said the two were arguing about chickens.
“The drunk’s father went to his son’s fortress after being called. We didn’t know he intended to kill him. Mumbi narrated.
“We got two buckets filled with blood. The suspect had already escaped, but later we heard he had reported to the police, claiming it was a common controversy,” Said one neighbor.
The deceased’s body was taken to the Bugi corpse pending surgery while the investigation was underway.

TUKO.co.ke also reported another kind of incident in which a 20 -year -old son allegedly killed his 62 -year -old father in Nyamira County.
It is alleged that he later burned the father’s body with plastic bags.
Reports indicate that the incident followed a dispute between the two, caused by the suspect’s wife. It is said that the woman was also involved in the killings.
The police have not yet arrested the woman who escaped after the incident.
Another similar incident was reported in Nyang’au Village, Rongo Small County, Migori County, where Son allegedly killed his father after a fierce dispute.
